We’ll be working behind the scenes to ensure your accounts are converted to Global as smoothly and seamlessly as possible. No changes to FFNW accounts, services, or branches will occur until the fall of 2025, when we will begin converting accounts.

Welcome letter

Our story begins in 1948

A handful of civilian employees at the Alaska Air Depot were having difficulty with getting the loans they needed from local banks to set down roots in Alaska. Instead, they pooled their savings—and faith in one another—and created the credit union to lend the much-needed cash.

As our community grew, so has the credit union. Today we serve individuals, families, and businesses across Alaska, Washington, Idaho, California, Arizona, and even military bases in Italy.

About us

We’re everyday people empowering each other to build a better financial future for ourselves and the ones we love. As a member-owned cooperative, we use profits to provide better benefits to our members. That means you and other members get access to competitive dividends, reduced loan rates, and lower fees compared to what you might find elsewhere.

Now, we’re excited to be part of your story for many years to come.
