Join us at the 2021 Girls Rock Lab Concert!
Girls Rock Lab is a place where girls and nonbinary kids can be creative, form bands, write original music, learn about women in music, and work together in a supportive environment. They provide workshops, mentors from the community, and a space where participants are empowered leaders and collaborators. They value diversity of experience, race, economic background, age, and gender expression, and they welcome girls, transgender, and nonbinary kids of any background to participate. Their focus is on creating a space for expression, so we strive to meet participants where they are, and all experience levels are welcome, including those who have never played an instrument before. They especially want to empower young folks who haven't seen themselves represented in popular media. They hope to help foster a love of music, collaboration, and creativity. They are inspired by the Rock n' Roll Camp for Girls Movement that originated in Portland and continues across the country and the world.
