From Chicken Coop to Greatness
Locally owned and family operated since 1940
When you support a small business, you are supporting a dream. Here at Global Credit Union we are dedicated to supporting our local small businesses, helping them reach their dreams.
Lawton printing is a fourth generation family owned business that has been part of the Spokane community for 80 years. The company is a strategic partner that provides high-quality, personalized, digital printing and marketing solutions to our clients.
Lawton printing was first established by Laura Lawton’s great grandfather in 1940. The business began as a two-man operation in a remodeled chicken coop, of all things. To this day, the home and renovated chicken coop still stands on 8th and Garfield.
“We have always been looking for what’s coming next because in our industry the technology has changed drastically in 80 years,” said Laura Lawton, President of Lawton Printing Services. “We owe our success to being really plugged into technology and what’s coming next by trying new technology that not a lot of others would.”
Lawton Printing serves clients all over the greater northwest. Working with clients that range from Avista to the Infamous Saphire Lounge in Downtown Spokane.
The four tenets of the Lawton advantage are:
- Customer Service is Key
- Progressive Outlook
- Dedication to the Craft
- Commitment to the Community
The entertainment and hospitality industry make up about one third of all the clients Lawton Printing serves. Lawton Printing, like many other locally owned companies, has been working to combat the crisis imposed by the Covid-19 epidemic.
“Our Community has been so good to us,” said Laura Lawton. “We are here to help all businesses come back from this; that focus won’t change.”
