Meet Tristan Stone, the newest member of Global's Dollar Dog Club.
Tristan recently visited Global Credit Union to open his first savings account. At first, he seems like any boisterous, lovable 5 year old. He has been saving his money in a jar, much of it a gift from the Tooth Fairy.
Tristan lost 14 teeth recently. As an infant born with Myelodysplastic Syndrome, Tristan had a bone marrow transplant just 2 weeks before his first birthday. He was a patient at Children's Hospital in Seattle for the first 4 months during this time.
Today Tristan's cancer is in remission. But the effects of his treatments caused him to lose his teeth early. Tristan's mom, Heather, decided that with such a bounty from the Tooth Fairy, it was time for Tristan to open a savings account.
Heather and her husband, Harold, have been Global members for 27 years. She calls Tristan her "miracle baby." After 22 years of trying to have a baby they were able to adopt Tristan.
This miracle baby is now a happy, active 5 year old and proud member of Global Credit Union!
